The Panasonic® Digital Document Company announced a new version of the DP-190 and UF-9000. The new versions hold the same name/model number as the previous versions, though they take a different cartridge.

New Features

New security improvements have been made when transmitting documentation across a network via Network Authentication. Network Authentication provides end-users with secure email transmissions which ensure only authenticated network users can transmit information vial email with the DP-190 and UF-9000. Job Tracking has also been added. When the Job Tracking feature is enabled it will send a copy of the email or fax to a preset email address giving the end-user the ability to track all incoming and outgoing documentation within their organization. The capability to send outgoing faxes via the network based fax server Captaris RightFax® has also been added.

New Toner Cartridge

A new toner cartridge, the UG-5540 has been released to work in the new DP-190 and UF-9000 models. The page yield has been increased to 10,000 pages (@ a 3% page coverage). Ultimate Image is developing a compatible replacement for the UG-5540 toner cartridge to supply to all of our loyal dealers who have been purchasing the UI5530R compatible remanufactured toner cartridge.

Compatibility

The new UG5540 toner cartridge is also available for the existing DP-190 and UF-9000 machines, however the yield is limited to 6000 pages due to memory limitations. The current DQ-TU17H/UG-5530 cartridges will physically not fit into the new DP-190 and UF-9000 units. For the new DP-190 and UF-9000 machines you need to order the new toner cartridges (DQ-UG27H/UG-5540). The difference in consumables for the current and new model machines can only be determined by the serial numbers on each machine. See below for identification of compatibility.

Identification

The new machines can be identified by the serial number or the model number on the serial number label on the back of the machines.
